Puli Choru Spice Kit for Rice
Add this Spice Kit to rice before cooking, and lift it to another level.
Rice does not have to be plain. It's common for flavours to be added to it in many cultures. This particular blend has notes of Fenugreek, Coriander, and mustard seeds. It originates from South India, and can be paired with various curries.
It's common to add chopped nuts to this rice. We've left them out for the benefit of those who might be allergic.
I personally like to add some vegetables to spicy rice (such as peas, cauliflower, green beans or similar), and enjoy the combination with plain yoghurt. The depth of flavour from the warm rice works brilliantly with the sweetness of cold natural yoghurt. Yummy :)
Traditionally, basmati is used.These days I'm inclined to use brown basmati rice.
